Been busy at work. I made 30 hours the last two days. This will be another weekend of me just relaxing at home.

The grommet I ordered came in. It's the wrong one. On a search for the correct part number.

Good morning folks.

Got back from Indy 500 trip at midnight Tuesday. All in about 1800 miles. 911 was a fabulous road trip car, super comfortable seats. 30 mpg at 75+ mph...it's an economy car! Got to see a great race, meet Mario Andretti, visit Museum of the Air Force in Dayton Ohio, and tour a famous Frank Lloyd Wright house in western PA on the return trip. And Mrs. Spruce Mica and I are still speaking to each other afterwards so that's a plus.

 

Welp, landed a new job. Put in my two weeks yesterday and it seems they will be keeping me on for the two weeks because, well, it’s a clusterfuck there. My boss told me in the morning to hold off on writing my resignation letter, since his boss wanted to speak to me. Later in the day, he said send it over. When I asked if I should still be expecting a call from his manager, he said likely not. Pretty petty if you ask me, would expect a more mature attitude from someone at that level.

Between my wife leaving a couple months ago, and me leaving now, they are loosing a combined 24 years of in house-developed talent. Crazy.

Looking forward to the new role.

Picked up two big things of pork to smoke. Biggest ones for me in the smoker to date. Likely going in very early tomorrow morning.

Perhaps the boss who said hold off tried to go to bat and had no luck, at least that's my guess the way I read it.

But yeah, typical shortsightedness by higher levels.
