    Hey all,

looking for some help to lift my truck and potentially fix the drivers side lean.

I’ll throw in some pictures of what lift/look I’m going for but I’m planning to go either

2.25 or 2.5 inch in the front and 2 in the rear or… 2.5 all around. I can’t decide to “level” the truck or lift it evenly all around.

I’ve been following “Mykospro’s” build and his front is just about .25 inches more lifted than the rear. About 2 inches in the front and 1.75/8 in the rear. I may be splitting hairs at this point.

Feel free to check my other thread to confirm my lift but I believe I currently have a 2 inch spacer lift in the front and a 1 in lift in the rear from an aal. Looking to just get a bit more height all around.

However - my drivers side is leaning quite significantly.

    here are the measurements:

front drivers side height (measured from ground to the fender): 38.25 inches

    rear drivers side: 39.25 inches

    passenger front side: 39 inches

    passenger rear: 40 inches

Basically the drivers side is an inch lower than the other side of the vehicle.

My end plan for this truck is leaf packs and coilovers but since my off-roading is just fire roads and mild trails for hunting I’m going for a spacer/block lift. Planning to add 1 inch blocks in the rear (will be 2 inches total with the aal) and a 2.25/2.5 spacer lift up front (for now). Sorry for anyone who might be cringing at that idea. I will do a full suspension lift eventually but on a budget for now.

question is - how to I accommodate for the 1 inch difference in the drivers side? I can’t imagine I should lift the left side an extra inch all around?? Or maybe I just say f*ck it and accept the Tacoma lean.

Lastly, what lift do you guys think the white Tacoma has? The rake looks pretty significant - but I like it… maybe 2.5 inches all around? This may be the lift I go for if I can figure it out.

Obviously the Last 2 images aren’t mine.

thanks in advance for your help

It’s typical to lift the drivers side front higher either by adjusting pre-load depending on shock or adding a spacer. If you lifted the front on both sides evenly then lean is expected. since you’re leaning towards a spacer lift I would look at a kit that accounts for this with keeping the amount of parts minimal (aka do not stack spacer lifts)

just eyeballing the white Tacoma I would say that’s lifted 2-3” with factory rake.

I can’t think of one company that with a spacer style lift accounts for the driver side lean. If that the way you’re going for now you’ll just have to deal with it unfortunately.

Yeah I agree. In theory I could buy 2 different sized spacer lifts and have an extra for each side but that would sort of defeat the purpose of affordability. Might as well just hold off for coilovers at that point.
