Here we go - a few shots of the simple construction on each ramp + where I slide them in & clamp onto the crossbars. Not much to it, and it works great.

 

What's everyone using for lighting in their tents? Last time we camped I actually got claustrophobic because it was SO dark. I don't want soemthing obnoxious, just enough that if I wake up I can orient myself (and remind myself I am in-fact not in a coffin) lmao.

 

My roofnest came with a flexible LED strip that I plug into a powerbank USB port. I also have a small, cheap battery powered lantern that has been running on the same AAs for years now and throws a great amount of light.

 

Our Aspen Lite came with an adjustable-brightness USB string light that gets plugged in to a small powerbank. It's velcroed onto the front wall of the tent. Works great.

 

My phone's lock screen works for that. The skycamp mini also has the skylight that can be left open without letting weather in and that lets you see the sky.

 

I hang my headlamp in the top of my tent. I always seem to forget it up there in the morning though

 

This summer I plan to test out the Exped Widget pump that I got for the new sleeping bag. The pump has a light feature and I believe it also functions as a mini power bank to charge other devices. The light has a few brightness settings, so it might work well for your purposes, but only if you've got a use for it as a pump for a mattress/pad as well.

 

Actually I got a pump with the lost horizon pad I bought, it also does all those things, I forgot it was a light!

 

That might be your best answer then!

 

USB fairy lights for the win! I keep them in the tent. Fold up nicely.

Seems like a good price. Maybe replace the cover and list it for $600, it does need a new one.

 

I think you're in the ball park for a quick sale. I sold a five year Kukenam 3 for $650. Bought if for $600 and did some repair and waterproofing on it.

 

New to me Ikamper XCover update.

I was able to order a full replacement shell for the 1.0. That was installed last week, and I've had it open in the driveway for a few days setting it up and taking it down, getting used to it. In the process, the zipper on the "skirt" finished going bad, so a new skirt was ordered as well. All in for about $550 and I have a practically new tent.



I got up in the tent and then Tessa couldn't find me. With some assistance from my wife, and motivation from me, she made her way up and down the ladder twice. I'm going to lessen the angle and work with her some more on it. I may order the step covers as the guy I purchased the tent from said it helped his dogs.


Now I just need to get out and use it.

Thanks for the feedback I have had only one bite, which was a lowballer. I need to try on Facebook.

 

I use a fan/light combo and charges on a USB-C. I noticed it can get a bit stuffy in the tent on warmer days and the fan has came in clutch along with the light. It was around $20 on Amazon

 

Love this idea! I have previously thought about a fan because our first night in the tent (2 adults + the dog) was very stuffy.
