I have a 2018 SR5 and want to upgrade the headlights to OR or similar. What are my options?

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Are you looking to upgrade to OEM LEDs? Standard for all trims except Pro model is a projector headlight.

Upgrading to LED will set you back if buying new (you'll also need an adapter harness). Upgrading your bulbs from H11 to H9 is cheapest option and will get you about twice the light throw. There are plenty of threads on here about OEM LED upgrades as well as an entire sticky lighting thread. Welcome to TW.

Do you mean you’re looking to change to the oem led headlights from the trd off roads? You’ll need a conversion harness specific to the sr/sr5, check out this thread to acquire one:https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...esses-v2-most-current-thread-dec-2023.819431/
Aftermarket housings can be a crapshoot, only two reputable brands are Morimoto and Alpharex. Morimoto xbs have better projector optics, brighter drl and turn signal, and longer warranty (5 years) than alpharex, but lots of people run Alpharex because they look cool and have lots of cool features. Ive been running morimoto xbs on my sr5 for a year and they perform well and I haven’t had any problems, the safest option is probably oem led with the conversion harness.

Yes, just make sure it’s the sr/sr5 specific harness. The wiring on the sr5 and trd models are different so there is a specific harness, you can get it from the thread I mentioned earlier

Does your truck currently have led drls? If not you’ll need a special order from @Puppypunter I believe
It’s not insurmountable, but a little extra work

If you live in snow country (your profile gives no clue) folks report that the LEDs generate inadequate heat to melt the snow off while driving.

So keep that in mind if LED is what you have interest in.

The SR/SR5 do need a little more to adapt than just changing the plugs unfortunately. But check out the thread @StreetSr5 was kind enough to link to and hopefully it will make sense. And feel free to hit me up with any questions :)
