Thoughts on this frame rust

Hi everyone. New to the forums, and I wanted some opinions on the frame of this 2010 access cab I went to look at. I didn't see any holes, nor was I able to create any holes with a screwdriver. It's definitely flaky in quite a few places though. It was in PA for its whole life, so plenty of road salt to go around.

 

That would be a pass for me.

Did you not try a ball peen in the forward boxed areas? It's worse inside than what you see outside.....

Absolutely not. And the floor underside is in terrible shape to boot.

If it was a couple grand and used as a beater sure but I'd bet the seller isn't asking beater money.

 

So glad you asked on here BEFORE buying it!! I'm with the rest of the folks on here saying to PASS!!

13k for that rusty POS! Hell no! Not only is the frame toast but the floor boards don't look good either!

I'd respond to the seller and ask how negotiable the price is, given that the frame is just about gone. See what he says just for S and G

 

He says *Nothing wrong with my frame. Recently passed inspection. A wire brush and some Rustoleum and it will be as good as new*

The "peripherals" look more worrisome than the parts of the frame: brackets, brake lines and junction connections, floor rust on the body and mounts and especially the mystery isolated sections of the frame that just look ominous. Keep looking: If you had to r&r something like a steering rack and lines, it would be a disaster.
