Ouch. I remember when these were 4800.00. Then you get the pleasure to spend about the same on optics.

My son is on the spectrum of moderate to severe.
His grandfather left a 30-06 to him.
At the moment he is nowhere ready for firing a gun.
I am a gun owner and he has never seen one of mine.
They're all locked up, out of sight with ammo locked up in a separate room.

I kind of want it. The thing is well below my price limit, and legal in all 50 states!

    For $100 you should have.

If I hadn't just dropped $475 on a 200K-mile tuneup for my Tacoma, I totally would have!

I hear ya. Anytime I come across a deal its when Ive already shelled out some money. What all was done for the tune up? Honestly seems a reasonabe price.

Oil change with LiquiMolly 5W30 full synthetic, new spark plugs, and an oil pressure sensor. It wasn't really a tuneup...

Single shot shotguns were often used as a "first gun" for small game hunting. The idea being you would learn to make that first shot count because you don't get a second shot. My first gun was a 20 gauge single shot similar to that one. The hunting bug never bit me though but I do still enjoy shooting.

I used to be scared of pretty much all loud noises when I was little, including central air-conditioners and automatic toilets. My uncle has a 1978 Harley-Davidson, and when I was 7 to 9 years old, I couldn't be around that bike when it was running. By comparison, I was riding on my dad's 1999 Harley before I was 10, as it was a lot quieter. My dad had a 16-foot boat with a 2-stroke outboard, and I couldn't be around when my dad used the garden hose adapter to test the boat out of water before launching it in the summer.

I fired a gun for the first time in 2020, at the age of 31, with my late friend Jim. I have fired everything from a .22 Glock all the way up to an AR-15; I have fired numerous 9mm handguns, as well as an AK-47 and a 12-gauge shotgun.

How old is your son? Do you think he'll ever be able to drive or live on his own?

    Thanks for sharing.
My son will be 16 this year.
Your early years sound very similar to his. With the loud noises and what not.
Change is also a big trigger...
He was non-verbal up until about 8 yrs old. There's still confusion in communication though he has come a long way.
Time will tell if he'll be able to drive or live on his own. He never stops surprising us in what he can do.
Understanding the rules of the road are tough for him. When we go places I always verbalize my driving....Stopping, going, looking for cars, green arrow type of stuff.
When I'm done mowing lawn I let him drive the mower back to the shed and put it away.
Same with guns, it's the safety things he doesn't understand yet....the danger of what they can do.

I don't only have a driver's license, but I can also drive a stick shift! I didn't speak in complete sentences until I was 3 years old, and I was formally diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when I was 9 years old.

    That's great, man.
It sounds like you've come a long way.
I can imagine it was no easy task.

I believe he can get there but for now we'll stick with the lawnmower.

Learning to drive was the easy part, but loud noises were definitely a struggle; I was scared of central air-conditioners until I was about eight years old, because of the noise!

He likes going offroad "adventure" especially when it's bumpy.
One of these times if we get on an open stretch. I'll let him get behind the wheel.
    Start him in 4L.

It's a step up from nerf darts.
