Just bought a 2020 Tacoma. 17,000 Km, just like new!
I plug in a 32 Gig Lexar formatted Fat 32, with my music in mp3 format but when I check source the USB icon is greyed out. I unplug the USB, and then insert it, and the screen tells me "this device is not supported" !
How can I get the standard music device to play my MP3?
    Thanks.
    John

Do you have a different flash drive to try? I don’t think I’ve tried a flash drive that high most of mine are 20 and below. But when I use my iPod it recognizes almost the whole 120 I think.

It will support 32gb thumb drives so you are good there. Make sure the format is Fat32 and not ExFat which newer versions of Windows like to use. You also want to be sure that it is not one of the encrypted flash drives that require a password to access. Make sure that the music files are compatible with the head unit, they don't recognize all music formats. Lastly, I have had certain flash drives that meet all of those parameters and still don't work. I am not sure why.

Unsure if this applies to your 2020, but I got this set up for my 2018.
Music needs to be in folders with no more than 200 songs per folder.
You can call the folders whatever you want - just make a bunch and stick the mp3's in them.
