I had an Arb compressor that ended up shorting out I was initially planning on purchasing the behind the seat mount for it. I was trying to find a more compact yet versatile option. I did a little research and found like a lot of you guys have the Chinese version of the twin compressors. I ended up purchasing the Thor's lightening 12v twin compressor.Screenshot_20240602-114930~2.png They had a sale and the warranty was appealing ( however I voided it with this project)
I purchased thinking I was just gonna throw it up in the roam case I had and be on my way. I realized 1. I'm shorter than I realized
    2. A lot of variables of me dropping it and it sliding down my truck causing damage to it or my body panels.

I didn't like the truck bed mount they offer because of theft and the elements. I found that it fit behind the driver passenger compartment almost perfect but left a lot of dead space underneath. I also didn't like the rubber hose attachment from the compressor.

    Enter the build:

I ended up retapping the manifold to a 1/8" NPT thread.

I used a reducer fitting of 1/8" male x 1/4" female NPT to fit into the manifold.51XE2yjYF8L._AC_UF1000,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg

I then placed a 90° 1/4"male x 1/4" female onto the end of the 1/4" female that was protruding from the manifold.61gWXIAfR4L._AC_UF1000,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg

I then tightened up the Arb fitting I had onto the 90° female end.

(I used thread tape on all of the threads)
    Finished product:

Now onto the next issue... The base
The base was too wide to fit into the compartment and yes I could have cut the base to fit however I didn't want any sharp metal edges and having to repaint or have any more maintenance.
    I purchased HDPE board in 12x12x1/2" 81Dk9a+p7xL._AC_SL1500_.jpg
I cut it and sanded down the edges to make it the desired width I was looking for.
    It ended up being 5"x12"
    Here's the finished product:

I drilled 4 extra holes as to use a stake to hold it in the ground if I needed to
Here is the final build in the compartment:

It fits snug however since it's in the plastic compartment I don't see it causing damage but I suppose I could take a heat gun and remold the inside to accommodate more space..
Anywho hope this helps someone looking for a place to keep a compressor.

Why not get some thin heat-shield material for exhaust use? Would limit the chance of plastic damage.
