Asking a long shot favor

Hello Northern Neighbors,

I’ve found a part I’m interested in at Recycled Truck Parts in Kamloops. Unfortunately, they don’t ship to the US.

The part is an external driver side door handle for a third gen blazing blue pearl tacoma. Hard for me to tell what their price is.

This is a long shot, but figured I’d ask. Would anybody be willing to pick up this part and ship down to the US? I’d cover shipping and happy to compensate.

Currently i'm putting out a feeler ad near Kamloops for tuning so could potentially be there in a couple weeks. if I end up there i'll come back here and let you know. I'll know in about a week if i'll be headed there or not.

Would it not be cheaper to get locally and paint to match?

 

I haven’t gotten a quote for painting, but I’d imagine the cost of a handle ($50 minimum) and painting would greatly exceed the cost of a $65 handle already in the correct color. Just a guess but I haven’t done detailed math.

 

C$85 + tax which seems like a good price.

 

They sent me this photo. Hard to tell if it’s just paint or if it’s also scratched up. From the other photos it looked ok and didn’t have paint.

 

Also I wouldn't be in the area
