    My rule is to drive it to a tire shop if you can. Otherwise, I have to be willing to swap the tire with the tools I have. I'd much rather a tire shop deal with it.

    Check FaceBook Marketplace for stock tire for sale in your area. That may give you an extra $500-600 discount on a new set of 285s.

    I absolutely agree but I have learned to hedge my bets ever so slightly cause weird stuff happens, I once saw someone remove a large sheet metal screw that was not leaking and while twisting to get it out the threads cut into the tire and had a small leak then.

    Yeah I pulled out and it’s not leaking, didn’t really think it would, but there is a gouge in the sidewall now.
