Do I have an excuse to get 285 now?

Don’t know if it would be safe to pull out and continue to drive

 

My rule is to drive it to a tire shop if you can. Otherwise, I have to be willing to swap the tire with the tools I have. I'd much rather a tire shop deal with it.

 

Nothing wrong with that tire, except for being the wrong size...

 

Check FaceBook Marketplace for stock tire for sale in your area. That may give you an extra $500-600 discount on a new set of 285s.

Pull it out, its almost a 0.1% chance its leaking.

 

There's a 0.0% chance that's leaking...it's through a tread block.

 

I absolutely agree but I have learned to hedge my bets ever so slightly cause weird stuff happens, I once saw someone remove a large sheet metal screw that was not leaking and while twisting to get it out the threads cut into the tire and had a small leak then.

 

Might be good on the ice like that. : )

Pull it out and drive it. Or leave it in and drive it till it falls out. Not hurting a thing.

 

Yeah I pulled out and it’s not leaking, didn’t really think it would, but there is a gouge in the sidewall now.
