    Hey Guys

I bought a 2020 SX (2.7) 6 speed Auto with 78K Highway Miles - Maintenance record about 10 pages long - truck was super clean especially underneath.

I am going to convert it to 4wd and keep the 6 speed Auto. No Electronics for the 4 Wd. Keeping my LDS for the Rear Diff. No DDS up front.

I drove an old Ford '72 4WD pick up for 25 years and just want to to operate my Taco - just like my old truck. Manual hubs and 2nd stick to engage when needed...

I don't want to hear about my resale value - I love this truck and will never sell it. I have researched this for a while and come up with more Questions than Answers !

I have seen the FJ angle. I have listened to Timmy Tool Time and others. What I need is a List of New or Remanufactured Parts to fit my situation.

I am in no rush and will take my time to find what ever I need. I have the tools and skills to do this and place to convert it. I also have a close buddy who lives and breathes 4WD that will help. He is not a Tacoma expert but he understands what needs to be done...

I have the ability to make a custom center console and will weld a custom handle for the Transfer Box to put it right where it belongs.

I have a hydraulic press and another machine shop friend. He actually makes custom gears and can machine anything. I prefer Remanufactured or New. Used if it the last choice as long as I can still get parts to rebuild it...

I need help with a Parts List from Disc to Disc. And an outline of what I can Re-Use and what needs to be purchased.

From what I have read the 3rd gen 4 bangers all came with 4.30 Rear Diffs. My biggest hurdle seems to be what front diff has that same ratio ???

Truck runs great on the highway does not search for gears. So I don't want to mess with that. I run stock tires but will buy a 2nd set of wheels and off road tires. Nothing crazy close to stock sizes. I just want something to go up in the Smokies in the winter and need to access dirt roads to get some places. No rock climbing no trailers... Tire Chains if needed. The SX has the HD suspension all you factory 4 wheelers have - so I have plenty of clearance...

    Thanks for any help
    JP

This conversion has been discussed a few times on here. Search in upper right corner. Fyi your looking at $10k+. If your dead set on it. Go find a totaled 3gen 4x you'll need drive line, as well as electronics.

Looks like you need to do more research
Asking someone to give you a parts list isn’t research

Just get a front diff from ecgs with 4.30 or regear one yourself if there’s no stock options.

This channel might be of more help. On this channel, we mostly discuss what is the biggest tire you can fit with a 3” lift or whether its a good idea to chain your $7000 bicycle to your leaf springs while you visit the men’s room at the local gas station.
