Had a great time in Lexington traveling the bourbon trail with my brother and his wedding party.

    Some nice selectionsPXL_20240604_031033595.jpg
The highlight for me was the Woodford reserve day.
Was able to grab two of these.

Next time I will definitely bring a larger pelican case instead of the carry on size.

Of course I have done a lot of my bourbon hunting in FL because I often find the prices are a bit better than they are here. If I had to pay $249 for a bottle of EHT like @reconrover I'd be planning a bourbon hunting vacation to Florida or Texas where the prices seem more reasonable.

Probably won't open that until a special occasion comes around. Soon as I do though I will write my review. I honestly don't know if it will be much different as it is just their mash bill in the second barrel of a double oaked process without the first barrel aged 6 years. Slightly different char in that barrel vs the standard Woodford. It didn't see two barrels like the double oaked or a third like the double double.

For years I have been adamant about EHT Small Batch in general being superior to EHT Single Barrels, which I still stand by. But this store pick Single Barrel is just outstanding. IMG_1291.jpg

I think $80 for the ECBP is about retail. I caught 2 of the C923 (one luck and one because i'm in a club), having a pour of A124 right now and haven't seen the B yet.

They are shellfies in Colorado. Now that I'm in Ohio they are non existent. I'm glad I brought some with me because they are delicious.

LOL. I’m on mountain standard, so they’ve ended around 2100.
