If I hadn’t built my own, that’s definitely what I would have got

I’d probably still switch out the chucks though, I used those originally and after a while the valve stems get chewed up since there’s only one point of contact

I plan on switching the chucks to Jaco ones.
I have them on my Milwaukee inflator and the inflator in my garage.

That was really cool. You need @wi_taco to do some David Attenborough style voiceover narration. I've eaten a few giant steaks and know how that snake feels after getting that down. Of course he doesn't have an old fashioned to wash it down...

I'm kind of in between. I like to try things, but only if theynare incrementally harder, as opposed to exponentially harder. I still have to drive home.

But I enjoy going places that jeepers only dream about :D

    I'm having fun :anonymous:

We had a moment just like that at SMORR this spring. A group of Jeeps trying to get their nerve up to go down the only real way down that was obviously mis-rated... well, we looked at it and jumped in our trucks and went. They are probably still standing up there. Check out the Twark24 youtube videos: (78) TWARK Day 1 Slip 'n' Slide - YouTube

Hit up the sand dunes in Michigan last week, would highly recommend a trip over there if you’ve never been. upload_2024-6-4_19-36-29.jpg

We were going to do a family vacation out there this year but my dad had to get knee surgery so it's postponed until next year.
Things I want to do in Michigan take the ferry across lake Michigan, hit the dunes, drive tunnel of trees, go to Mackinac Island, and explore the UP

We meandered through the UP on our way and crossed the Mackinac bridge. (We did Mackinac island last year) decided to check out traverse city for a couple of nights, would also recommend. It’s like door county but way better. Then down to the dunes. The ferry is also still on my list!

My anxiety has been pretty good lately, I'm settling into this retirement thing. And then yesterday, I saw this:

I was squirming by the end. Hard nope. Not even way back when...

So I’m on a mission to formulate a great mid travel setup currently and have been seriously considering the solo Motorsports stock length LCA that moves the lower ball joint 1” forward to give better caster numbers. Any thoughts or opinions on this matter would be great, wondering if it’s worth it or the repositioning for alignment will just throw everything out of whack.

JDF lower pivot kit moves the LCA forwards which is worthwhile

I don’t have a great reason as to not go that direction other than I’m trying to steer away from modifying the stock mounting locations.

EDIT- and trust me I’m certainly not afraid of cutting things off the truck, I am running 35s on Bilstein 5100 setup after all . just something rubs me wrong about chopping off the stock LCA mounts

Up to you. I have them and it’s nice. Built-in skid plate, more clearance, more adjustment, beefier mounts, lockable alignment, etc. It is a non-reversible process though, so if theres any thought of resale or anything, it’s probably not going to help.

I didn’t do it personally, but not too bad. It has locating bolts to help set everything up for the welding.

I guess the way I need to look at it is the JD kit is stage 1 in the longer scheme of things. With long travel almost certainly being on the table in the future.
