Good morning guys, have a great Wednesday.

Re. ticks, I treat all of my yard work and hiking clothes/boots with Permethrin spray. We used in for years in the military and it is what’s applied to the “insect repelling clothing” you can buy now. It works well, I have only found a few ticks on my clothing after walking in high grass or brush busting and more often than not the nasty buggers were already dead they just haven’t fallen off the clothes yet.

Yup...Im pretty sure I avoided a serial killer in Idaho. We went to Dworshak dam and were parked at base where you could see the dam, this dude pulls up and starts talking, my wife was sitting in passenger side but was sitting with door closed. So i had this old shirt on Said MD shooters...With a big emblem. So i really wasnt paying attention and guy is right behind me maybe 3 feet away. He says "what do you shoot?" I kinda jumped a little as i didnt see he was so close and said "Everything!" Kinda loud. I could see it caught him off guard. Bout that time my wife opened the truck door. To which he kinda really backed off.

Just seemed creepy and off... i got in my truck and left... i commented to my wife as we were leaving, i think that guy was a serial killer.

Knew a guy here. Long distance runner. In shape all his life. Got bit by a tick running along the river bank. The bite swole up so he saw the doc & they started ‘em on massive antibiotics & other meds. Took ‘em about 4-5 years to finally say the recover word. Never saw anybody so crippled from a simple tick bite. TG it wasn’t me. :)

I can see that. My friend and her husband ended up selling their restaurant in part because of the persistent symptoms of Lymes..

I sold a vehicle to a guy (wheelchair accessible van for his grandfather) that was later convicted of three murders. The van was bought through his father's company, whom he later murdered. I believe there were more he was suspected of, but not enough evidence to try him for them. He had an incinerator.

Seemed like a nice enough guy...

His arrest was several years after the van sale, but I knew who it was right away. His father owned a mid sized aviation company in Toronto, which was a "dead" give away. I was still working then, and said "hey, I know that guy!" His father was already dead by then, which was initially ruled a suicide, so that was also something that we knew about. Dellon was later convicted of that murder. After his father's death, he actually moved the company(which he took over) to Waterloo regional airport, which is in our area. He then proceeded to run it into the ground while on his spree. Weird stuff.

In more mundane news, I got my brush all cleaned up. :D

Some may say lazy, others may call it genius, I'd like to think the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Pushed the brush into a big pile with the bucket, laid a strap down, pulled the pile back onto the strap, cinched it up and dragged it across the bridge to a pile I've been building for a few years. Three trips cleared all the stuff along the pond. Not often my schemes work that well, so I was pretty stoked!
