This. I have a 2023 Tundra with 32 gallon tank and ~600 mile range and was considering swapping out to get back into a Tacoma. But when I saw the dinky ass gas tank... oof. Nope. They should have made it 25 gallons, IMO.

This thread got me thinking of all the new Tundra owners bitching and complaining about their engines blowing up, I'm thinking they should just rebuild the damn engine themselves and stop complaining. I mean you purchased a $75,000.00 mass produced vehicle, fix it yourself.

Hey, most of us aren't whining about our engines blowing up. We are whining about the coming recall remedy and what that means for use in terms of downtime and lost value.

I think you missed the sarcasm. At least, that is how I read it. Although there is a little bit of difference btw a plastic volume control knob thingy and a engine rebuild.

Come on, are we seriously gonna roast people for being annoyed at their < 1 month old truck having parts literally disintegrating apart? Yes if this truck had 300k and was 20 years old, of course glue that junk back on and keep rolling, but geez you gotta be kidding me with your "tough it up" boomerisms

Those owners should just pull themselves up by the bootstraps. Back in my day...

Be careful, next thing you know they’ll make that knob only control barking spider noises.

Mine has the tiny screen with a tiny knob. No issue. But I think the larger Rav4 knob should fit..

    part# 90010-23059

I’m buying it, will report back.

My Land Cruiser knob has a thin spun ring of metal to reinforce the connecting piece (see pic). I put some heat shrink tubing to hopefully help reinforce the my 2nd knob to not break (see pic)

My first broke when barely turning the knob. I had been careful as I'd seen they are prone to breakage.

I don't think the Tacoma has ever not had a volume knob.

I don't think you understand what the word "literally" means bro, there is literally nothing disintegrating on these trucks. A volume knob fell off.

An equivalent example is the tailgate soft opening bushing. Bought my truck new and within two months that thing had shattered and failed. I could've bitched about it, could've maybe gone to Toyota and tried to get them to replace it under warranty. Instead I just lower the tailgate with my hand like I've done on every other truck and it hasn't been a big deal. Stick the knob back on and go about your business.

I missed the Boomers by about 3 generations.

I mean honestly guys, we're talking about a volume knob here. It's not something in the drivetrain or something electrical, it's the volume knob.

The folks who are having the grill shutter issues or getting stuck in tow mode - those faults directly affect the truck's drivability and I would definitely be bitching about that. But seriously, it's a damn knob. This is not a bootstrap issue it's just people complaining about anything for some attention.
