Got some aftermarket headlights that came with a piece that seems to connect to some wires below the connection for the LED ring. Instructions do not mention the piece or what it does.

Does anyone know what this piece is? And if i need to connect it? Don't want to hook everything up to realize i need the piece on from the start.

yes, that's a load resistor to balance out the turn signal power, so the signal flashes correctly instead of hyper-flashing.

but be warned that it gets ultra hot. don't mount it to anything except metal surfaces, and not close to any wires.
