I just got back from a wheeling trip, and I backed into a rock, crunching the rear bumper. I also dragged the hitch on pretty much every obstacle, so a bumper that moves it up would be nice. So I'm in the market for a high clearance rear bumper.

I found dozens of bumpers on the market, but I haven't found one yet that has a swing-out hitch receiver for a bike rack. Does anyone know of one? The closest I saw is the Coastal Off-road swing-away bike rack attachment, but that's a whole bike rack which I don't exactly want. There are swing outs that fit in a regular hitch receiver, but it seems like it would be sturdier if the swing out was integrated into the bumper. I don't know if I have the skills to fabricate one myself, but if it's as simple as welding a hitch receiver onto a pre built swing out, I could probably manage that.

I'd like to be able to carry bikes on rough forest service roads. I'm not planning anything crazy with bikes, but a hitch mount bike rack on rough roads does put an extreme amount of torque on the hitch receiver. And I would also like to have good clearance for rock crawling when I'm not carrying bikes.

I use a Rig’d tire swingout on my stock bumper mount it does raise the e-bike rack really high plus allows it to swing out. But for off-roading, I prefer to put my e-bike up front on my front receiver- the bikes stay clean and are high off the ground, plus I can see them when driving on rough terrain. I do just desert off-roading though so no trees and not much vegetation to push through, so the bikes are safer up front.
