I have a 2014 that I bought used from the dealer in late 2016.

The AC has never been great, but always gets cold enough. It usually just takes like 10 minutes of driving.

I moved to Vegas and it’s hot enough out here that I wanted to look into it to see if I could get it functioning 100%, so I took it to a very reputable shop for a diagnostic.

The manual calls for 5.5 ounces of oil, and I watched the shop suck out 22.2 ounces of oil! Everyone at the shop was blown away about how overfilled the system was. There’s no evidence of anyone ever being in the AC system.

Has anyone ever had this issue? It seems like the factory way overfilled the system by nearly 4x the amount??

Okay to add to the story, now that the system has been recharged it’s barely blowing cold.

Before they worked on it, it would get cold, it just took awhile of driving. Looks like I need to replace the compressor.
