    Hello All,

Long time member, first post. I have a second gen. (2006) Taco. The tire pressure light is flashing. My understanding is that means a transmitter battery is ka-poot. Toyota dealer wants nearly $700 to replace all 5. I can by them online for WAY less than $100. I'll need new tires this fall so I'm going to wait until then to install the new transmitters. Yellow flashing lights bug me. Is there a practical way to disable the warning light?

Electrical tape. I just went through the same thing. I bought mine through DT when I did tires. It was cheap enough to keep it convenient.

Thanks. That's what I have now, but 50 years as a pilot makes me sensitive to flashing lights. ;) And if I put a big enough piece of tape so I can't notice flashing, it covers most of the cruise control light too. I just have to put up with it .....

If it's like my 2012, the computer for it is behind the A/C controls. You can unplug it.

Years ago I found a how to on this site on how to disable the light on my 2006. There is a wire you can ground behind the radio. Search around for it.
