2nd gen v6 4wd 2010. Not much of a lift with previous owner. I heard a noise on the highway and pulled over, found my left front cv boot was wrecked. Towed home.

    Replaced the cv.

still had a strange noise and vibration.

removed the cv and did the ECGs and new seal.

    Still have a noise.

It sounds rotational and metallic. Wheel bearing next?

Have you checked the backing plate to see if it got bent and is rubbing?

Were the CV joint and tulip joint pre-packed with grease? It should have been, but lack of lubrication could cause that sound.

Fixed! Although the cv was bad, I assume the wheel bearing was the original issue.

and the ecgs is a welcome upgrade.

I got NEW noise after the lift + ECGS bushing. My tire guy said all my monkeying around shifted around my bearings enough to expose the wear (225k miles). Swapped in 2 new KOYO bearing assemblies and now I just have a little tire/road noise, no vibe.
