Starter X remote starter

I installed the remote a while back and it worked great, however I just replaced the headunit with a joying android 12 headunit and now the starter-X no longer works. I tried resetting the module and the truck would start for 30secs but then turn off. After that it wouldnt start up using the key fob even though it recognizes all 3 clicks. I would have to reset the module again in order to get it to turn on the 30secs again. Anyone had this issue with the remote starter and joying radio together? No issues starting the truck otherwise.

 

I know the Start-X can be finicky. If you have not already, you might reach out to their customer support for assistance. Sometimes it's a simple fix.

Also, you may do a reset on the start module and try to reprogram.

 

yea I tried reprogramming but still no luck. Reached out to them today since they are closed on sundays. They are sending out a new harness and module to test with.
