When replacing or sharpening your blades over torquing the bolt during reassembly can cause premature failure.

Don't throw in the towel just yet! Try and try again until you get right. Besides paying other people to do your work gets rather expensive...

yeah. however in recent years my wrenching mistakes cost dearly too. im just having a laugh on my expense. i tried putting custom cams in my tacoma last year. 12k$ mistake. that was just to put the stock ones back, ruined hipo cams, and other parts. ooffff!

Those pesky engineers always manage to throw in a torque spec. Something about bearing preload comes into play.

You must do oil changes differently than I do lol.

You should really stop. Your luck sounds like mine.

Finally hit over the 50 hour mark (well actually closer to 60) so need to do the "50 hour service". It doesnt call for hydraulic oil change but always hear different opinions on that....kind of like changing engine oil after 500 miles or so type thing.

So opinions? Change the fluid or just the filters? (filters are called for)

You drop the hydro filter, just about all the oil in the resivior fallows it. Better have hydro oil on hand.

With the Kioti he shouldn't loose more than a quart or two. He shouldn't need to buy the 5 gal pale quite yet.

I do need to ask what kind of machine we are referring to?

Zero turn mowers, the filter comes off and mist if the oil comes too.

So I was referring to zero turn unit, to be clear.

Been off the site most of the day, so I'm a little behind.

That's where I'm leaning, was more just curious. Long as it looks fine changing the filter of course

I might have forgot to mention it's the tractor :anonymous:

I'm pretty sure he has the Kioti CK2610, but I don't remember if it's the standard or HST transmission. There will be an extra filter on the later version.

KR: I did change the hydro oil & everything else at 50hrs on mine..... Since then its only had the filters changed on the hydro's @250hrs.... Did oil at 250hrs also.

But man I'm running thru fuel filters about every 100hrs & air filters about every 50hrs .... The CEL light has come on every time.
