Ok guys so my wife has a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder I did a tune up all was fine and then she broke down distributor was bad replaced. After that the truck started making a ticking noise when accelerating but seems to run ok. About a month later front o2 sensor went bad engine light came on I replaced it. It’s still making ticking noise it wasn’t there before replacing the distributor. Oil is fine and new coolant is full. It’s very puzzling could it have todo with the distributor install? Truck has 245,000 on it but the noise wasn’t there until that distributor was replaced. People are telling us all kinds of stuff I just want to know if anyone has experienced this and what it was?
    thanks
