tail light question for 2016 TRDoffroad.

Hello all , I have tried searching for a while but cannot find the info I am looking for. I broke the drivers side tail light on my 16 TRD off road and need to get a replacement. I think mine are LED? I see lots of cheap sets of lights on Amazon and ebay for less than $100 but they are probably not LED. I do not care if they are LED or not but will any light set of lights work? Are there problems with diodes or the brake malfunction warning if I put on the wrong lights ?

The stock tails are not LED.

I would either confirm the exact part number stamped on your current tail or order as a pair - The 3rd gen tails came in different "colors" depending on year and trim.

 

No kidding. I thought 3rd gens only came with all red and clear tail lights until this forum shared that there are a few subtle changes between the clear tail lights.
