    Hi, folks!

Up for sale is my 2008 regular cab Toyota Tacoma 4x4. 4 cyl; 5 speed manual; air conditioning; mint. 79,000 accident-free miles. This is my 4th Toyota pickup since I bought three others new (a 1994 single cab pickup; a 2010 double cab; and a 2015 TRD Pro that I put a factory supercharger in).

To say it's 'mint' would be an understatement... this is a bone-stock, accident-free, and totally original Oregon one-owner vehicle prior to my purchase last year. It is presently in winter storage, having never seen snow or salt exposure. There is literally not a hint of corrosion on any part of the truck. As you can see from the photos, every factory sticker and chalkmark is in place... it's as clean as the new ones at Heritage Toyota.

A couple of unique features... the original owner was a Toyota tech and was able to put in an order for cruise control and intermittent wipers, which were unavailable on a single cab that year. Both work, of course, and are handy upgrades.

Upon receiving it, I sent it to the local Toyota dealer with an "open checkbook" request to go through it from top to bottom... all fluids (coolant, motor oil, transmission, brake, and clutch fluids) were replaced, along with filters (motor, HVAC, air), and replacement of any item they might have discovered it needed. Not at all surprising, as I mentioned the original owner was a Toyota tech. The dealer told me that I threw $1,000.00 at the truck unnecessarily... all fluids and filters were already clean and current.

I then shipped it to Seaway car wash and dropped $950.00 on a FULL top to bottom interior and exterior detail, including having the headlight lenses polished and the few scratches that were visible removed.

From there, it was off to Village Car Company for a brand new set of Toyo Open Country tires ($1025.30) and installation of a Class 3 receiver for mounting a lockable bike rack.

I then left for a 5-week work trip out of state and returned in early October just in time to put it away for winter hibernation.

I needed something that I can run through the winter, so I got a Ford Maverick to replace it. If you've spent any time looking for a single cab manual Tacoma in even reasonably decent condition or reasonably low miles, you know they're priced right around what I'm asking. Indeed, BringaTrailer results confirm. And bear in mind, the cost to ship from Oregon is about $2,000.00 right now - which I was more than happy to pay instead of spending the same money on repairing corrosion. I looked at three very seriously in southern New Enland and even drove to Poughkeepsie to view one that promised to be clean, but was seriously rusty. They wouldn't budge from $19,500.00. Yes, my listing price is expensive, but the truck is definitely in the top 1% of single cab Tacomas left - and it's still good for 20 years of hassle-free ownership, which I am certain cannot be said of my Maverick. I welcome any prepurchase inspections and would have no reservation driving it to Oregon today.

The first two photos, as well as undercarriage shots show the truck in its current condition; the next four were the day I received it off the transporter (I removed the cap and have it in storage), along with the interior images which were taken before it was detailed.

The only blemishes include: (1) a few scratches on the tailgate that resulted from the prior owner putting a bicycle over the lip and the handlebars rubbed; and (2) the prior owner was a gun owner. There's a gun safe behind the driver's seat, but it appears that his holster caused the fabric on the lower corner of the bolster to tear. I don't know how to sew, but it looks like it could be stiched back together. Please note that the fiberglass cap IS included in the sale, but the Yakima rack IS NOT.

I have no interest in a trade and don't need any help in selling, thank you. If May comes along and its not sold, I'll have professional photos taken and list it on BringaTrailer. I'm happy to take any photo/angle/area that a buyer may want... I just need a few day's notice to get over to the storage facility that's a half hour away.

$18,950.00 - noting that I do have quite a bit more into it than that. Thanks for taking the time to read!

    Yeah.
I'm assuming it is 4WD since it's a 6-lug? I would love to have this truck, but I love my wife more. GLWS!

Yes, it is a 4x4. Thanks for pointing out that discrepancy... I've updated the listing.

Thanks also for the kind words!

79,000 miles. Thanks for pointing out that discrepancy as well... updated.

They're totally different trucks, in my estimation. A regular cab has its niche of people like me who pay a premium. See, e.g. one with similar miles and lack of corrosion at $20,212.50 after buyer's fee (and before shipping to the east coast):

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-toyota-tacoma-10/

Autotrader had a couple at dealerships with higher miles when I was looking for similar price - including the one in upstate NY that I drove 5 hours to look at, only to find it was not well maintained (oil was dirty; a/c didn't work) and super crusty. They wouldn't budge on their price, but it did sell

Lots of interest. Same complaint... so, I've set a new price of $18,950.00 to get it sold. Thanks for all of the compliments and inquiries!

I made it over to the storage facility and took another 75 pictures. PM with any requests for any angles, etc. Lots of interest, but still for sale.

Tire code shows third week of 2023 date of manufacture and the fuzzy ends on the edge of the treads are still in place. Some representative pictures, including frame (note original paint marking on top of leaf spring and bar code sticker in tact and in place).IMG_4399.jpg IMG_4400.jpg IMG_4412.jpg IMG_4404.jpg IMG_4408.jpg

Interior shots showing the blemished seat (firearm carrying former owner), but perfectly clean benchseat and carpeting. NOTE: VW golfball shifter NOT INCLUDED in sale... I've had that for 35 years. :) IMG_4388.jpg IMG_4372.jpg IMG_4371.jpg

Tailgate blemish, clean truck bed, and shot showing removal from storage... I drove it into 2' of Vermont snow (granted, it's about 1" deep) and backed it into its spot where I've paid storage through April. I wouldn't dream of running a truck this clean through a Vermont winter... buyer can do as they wish.IMG_4339.jpg IMG_4361.jpg IMG_4350.jpg
