2001 Red pearl Tacoma crew cab

I purchased a Jason Groov-e Series Cover to fit my 2001 Tacoma. i'm looking to create a soft waterproof berrier between the back glass hatch door and the topper. I've had leaks from where the hinges are with the seals I put on myself. Any opinions or links to some better options would be greatly appreciated.
