Anyone know if OEM super long life coolant (orange) can mix with the OEM pink?

    Edit.

Toyota only has 2 different coolants, Long Life (Red) that they used up until around 04 and Super Long Life (Pink) that's used in 05-present Toyota vehicles.

It's not reccomended to mix coolants because if they aren't compatible some nasty things can happen with the cooling system.

Zerex and Prestone among a few others make a Toyota Pink coolant if you don't want to buy Toyota OEM coolant.

I was wondering, the only ones I know of that use Orange coolant is GM and Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram, Ford used to but they switched to Yellow.

I would recommend against it since the chemicals are slightly different . It’s like mixing synthetic oil with regular oil it might have the same weight but the chemical compounds are different .

I never mix any type of coolant in any car.

The newer coolant is orange but it's only used in the BEV's (Toyota and Lexus battery electric vehicles).

Thats what messed me up. I saw orange Toyota coolant somewhere recently and opened the bottle and figured they chnaged the spec on the new Super Long Life mix.

I do not like to mix coolant types, but Toyota claims pink and red can be mixed.
