So I need help on choosing a cooler. I know I’m going Hayden, I know I’m either going 678 or 698.

I’m concerned about the 698 having an internal thermostat type bypass feature with the transmission already having a thermostat system itself.

I’m leaning towards the 678, anyone got any good suggestions or ideas on which might be a better choice?

It is just starting to get hot in Sacramento now.
Our hot days will start approaching temps that Phoenix gets on a very regular basis.

I bought the TruCool LPD4454 entirely on the recommendation of @gearcruncher
It is the "stacked plate" design which offers superior heat transfer to the "tube and fin" design.

Due to our extreme heat here, I plan to run the trannie thermostat "pinned"
It begins to open at 195 degrees and is fully open by 205 degrees..
I want to run cooler than 195.
