Bed lights

Hey all 2021 Tacoma SR5. There’s a spot for bed lights but none which is cool I get it except I really could use some.

Is there wiring for them already there?

 

If you pull your taillight you may see some wiring for them. My 2023 had it right behind the taillight ready to go

 

if it's anything like my 2023 it's plug and play. I'm too lazy to google it for a 2021 but it's easy for a 2023.

 

Cool! Which switch would turn them in and where can I buy the lights?

I have 2021 Tacoma SR. My did not come with bed lights but can prewired. I just pulled the plastic blank out where lights go and the wires were there. Bought lights and plugged right on

 

On my 2022 switch was already there, to control the light in in the cab mounted Stop light.
I went with OEM Toyota bed lights for the rear, wiring was there, need to pull the tail lights out and plug them in.

I have a 2021 SR5 and went with the factory lights,

One note on installation if you use the factory lights. The instructions are written for the TRD with the 120V bed plug and tell you to attach the light wire loom to the wire loom running down the passenger's side. There is no factory wire loom running down the passenger's side, at least on the 2021 SR5, Attach it to the frame.
