I'm relocating my battery to the bed, so that my core support stops eating itself.

As far as the winch goes, should I just run the cable straight to the battery with a disconnect? I've read elsewhere that a fuse/breaker is pointless on a winch cable.

Correct, direct to battery with a disconnect. No fuse/breaker, it's pretty pointless. Consider upsizing the wiring (use ampacity charts for length) due to the longer distance for the relocated battery.

Just wanted to make sure. My ADHD is making me overanalyze the details, lol.
