2023 JBL Audio Upgrade

check the date. that was in may of '23, which meant that the '23 model was really only officially out for a few months. at the time, companies needed time to test/verify that existing parts worked, or come up with adapters for the parts that changed. by now everything is somewhat well documented and adapters exist.

 

I have a 2022 Off Road w/ JBL and the 360 cameras. Maestro RR2 worked perfectly when switched out the head unit.

 

I have a 21 Limited with the JBL system. I upgraded mine in steps, first changed out all of the speakers, OK is was a little better not by much. Then I did the HU, installed a Pioneer WC6600NEX with the Maestro RR2 and XM radio component. Again a little better. Finally I took the plunge and ripped out the JBL amp and sub box. Replaced them with a new Sub box with a mounting location for the amp. The amp is a Alpine PXW-C80-88, 8 channel amp with DSP. Now the system sounds amazing. Before I would have to go up to 30 or better on the volume now I get away with 10-12 on the volume. And during all my upgrades I also did sound deading on the floor, back wall, and all four doors.

 

Yeeeeah I mightve went off half cocked. But, if anyone knows how to get the reverse cam to come on thatd be great! Really the only thing I cant get to work so far.
