I have a 20 double cab, looking to put beats on a budget. I do not want to change the head unit but I want to change all four door speakers and put a 10” sub behind the back seat without breaking the bank. Should I run a 5 channel amp for the doors and a sub? What have you guys done to get beats?

yes, the audio section would be a great place to start with. tons of different builds.

but the first question i have is "what is not breaking the bank?"

i've known people that want to build an entire audio system for less then $50, and people that want a 'budget system' that means staying under $30,000 for custom door panels and new seat coverings.

the second question most will have for you is if you have the jbl audio system in the truck or not. it'll be a logo on your factory radio, and has an amp and sub behind the rear seats.

I would like to stay under 1k, not a JBL system

Skies the limit then if it’s not a jbl system. Just remember you’ll need to get the maestro rr to keep the steering wheel controls .

there's other options for steering wheel interfaces. i used the axswc-1 from axxess interfaces.

there's also the option to not run rear speakers. they don't do much acoustically, other than for the rear passengers, so there's some significant savings to be had not needing to run wire, install new speakers, or provide an additional set of amplifier channels for them, which can offer to improve the quality of gear in the rest of the system. $1000 for gear--not including install, isn't really a 'skies the limit' range, it's a reasonable budget for moderate equipment--there's far worse, and far better.

but if the $1k budget is to include installation labor, expect that parts budget will be closer to $500, which makes for a much tighter install. a sub and box like the skar audio enclosure can easily eat up $300, not leaving a ton of space for speakers and an amp.
