Hey all. Does anyone know a garage space I could rent for a day? I live in a rental townhouse and they don't allow major car repairs in the lot. I've never replaced the tacoma shocks, but have done it on other vehicles. I live in Lynchburg so I'd be ok driving within an hour to it. Charlottesville or Roanoke. Thanks.

Do any of you guys know of somewhere in the central Virginia area that does undercoating with something like cosmoline or fluid film? Do any of you guys do this each year? I want to protect my investment, but I don't see much talk about it around Richmond. It seems like the only thing offered is the asphalt type stuff.

For as often as we get snow I don’t worry about it. Should be somewhere down in Richmond that does it.

Thanks for your reply! I am slowly coming around to this same perspective. My plan is to just spray everything down good with the hose if I need to drive it in salt. It seems like most of the vehicles that are rusted out around me were probably never washed.
I haven't found anyone in Richmond that does fluid film treatments.

I bought one of those under vehicle pressure sprayers on wheels. I can’t remember the exact name. I’m sure someone will chime in.

Funny you mention that - I was looking at one by Ryobi, but then went down a rabbit hole on which pressure washer to buy. Analysis paralysis set in, and I never pulled the trigger lol

Most apply themselves around here. The one or two places in this market charge an exorbitant amount for the service, as they approach it like snake oil.

Get a good set of ramps and a tyvek suit and go to town after washing it.

Long time no chat, and I'm back with an unfortunate request. I remember there was a member or two at Caliber Collision a while back...anyone still tied in and preferably at the Fredericksburg Lafayette location?

Also looking to repair my pride...luckily saved it from injuring anyone or damaging anything of significant value other than itself.

Been a minute for me on tacomaworld, but I'm back. Still in the Stafford/Fred region and travel a lot all over north to DC, South to Richmond and West to Front Royal.
Hope we'll be able to share some good information on services and support and maybe even meet up sometime.
All I know is that there is a plan for a Bucees to be opened near me in north stafford. I mean it's no big deal to me, but my big complaint is that every new store here is straight up a fast food place (McD, Wendy, Taco, Jersey mikes, Chipotle, etc..). the only thing close to being somewhat decent is a new panera. Also just because it's new doesn't mean they have their shit together. Wait a few months then it'll be good. Although I have to admit the new 7 eleven by the Stafford hospital has their stuff together and it's the cleanest place I've been too in a long time.
Feel free to reach out to me for any help. I'm not a mechanic, but I know a nephew who is! lol

Anyone have recommendations for an electrician in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area?

I want to make some adjustments in my fuse panels. Move a couple of fuses from one side to the other. Reason is I have a generator cut off switch and realized yesterday that the previous electric company never tested what plugs went where. I asked for all my kitchen power and garage power to be on one side and it was not done properly. I had it done several years ago, so I don't know if I can go back to appleton campbell for correction. Think I'll have to write up an honest review of their work.
