I am thinking about putting the Tune M1 camper on my truck but I am looking for feed back on the following concerns

Weight of Camper is 450 lbs. I think I will add another 350 in things I plan to carry in the bed which include Water, Battery, and Adventure Gear.

Total expected added weight to truck is 800 lbs fully loaded.

    Questions:
    1. Impact on suspension. Will the truck's suspension struggle? will there be a reason to upgrade suspension with the additional weight?

    2. Tires to select: I am currently looking at purchasing the KO3 rated C. Will the E rating be a better choice due to the added weight?

I am currently running an All Terrain Bobcat on my 2-gen TRD Off road, 690lbs as a shell with no accessories. But it is not just a shell so when fully, fully loaded, this setup is right at or even a bit over stock GVWR. So what I did was beef up all the breaks, heavier leaf packs, firestone airbags, heavier valving on King 2.5 resis up front, Icon resis in back. AT KO2 load range E tires.

But....I fell victim to the frame rust recall only I never got the notifications as I was in the middle of a move and a lot of mail got lost in the shuffle, no new frame for me. I have cleaned it up and plated it but it's a terminal illness.

I am looking to run this exact setup on a 2024 Trailhunter. Since I keep the camper on the truck about 360 days a year, at minimum I am going to swap the stock rear coils for heavier ones, replace the rear bump stops with airbags and run the usual load range E tires.

It's a fine line to walk to beef up the truck enough to handle a regular load, it is another to try to make it to where when the load is not in it that it does not ride like a skateboard on bad washboard at high speed.
