Lead king basin loop

I am wanting to go back to crystal mill this 4 th of July weekend and then continue up to lead king basin and complete the loop and do some camping. I have not been there in about 15 years. Any new camping regulations like reservation in that area. I did not see anything on google but wanted to ask TW. How is the road now. Does anyone have any recent info they don’t mind sharing. Thanks

Thanks. Has any attempted this yet in 2024? I remember from the city of crystal and the left turn going up to lead king basin was not an easy trail. Any recent incite on this section. I might just try the loop and miss crystal. Thoughts. I’ll most like pay for the service but still wanted to ask.

 

I was in Telluride the past week and there’s still big snow drifts around 12,000-12,500 feet. Not sure how the snow in CB area is doing, but it may still need a few more weeks.
