The roof moulding for my access cab has left the chat. I hunted around for replacements online and they are pricey! If I’m in for $100-$200 I figure I might as well start looking at roof racks. As far as I can tell there is not an OEM option for AC. Anyone got ideas on a cost effective option that would replace the moulding? I would also be open to a cheaper replacement moulding if anyone has suggestions. I have looked without much luck.

Did you lose the molding or did it just come off? I used weatherstripping adhesive to reinstall the roof molding. Worked perfectly and I'll never have to worry about losing the molding.

Following because I’m in the same boat. Placed an order for replacements this weekend and the order was cancelled this morning because of an error on the dealer’s end. I’m taking it as a sign to do something else instead of plunk down all that money for a couple plastic strips.

Hardware store cut a piece of rubber to length 3m adhesive tape . Might not look pretty but it does the job.

Ouch! I rarely - maybe once a year - take my truck through a car wash.

Some of these new car washes are blowing so much air and spinning so many brushes that my driver's side molding lifted the last time I went through and was starting to flop around. I actually lowered the windshield a bit and grabbed it with my hand before it peeled all the way off.

That near miss reinforced why I don't like car washes.

I actually had a near miss at the auto car wash with my left one like a year ago. Thought I had snapped it back in but both must have blown off on the highway.

Reached out and turns out that it does require drilling. I suppose if you wanted to have it non-functional, you could use RTV or some kind of liquid silicone. Looks like Hooke Road is still the most cost-effective, but let me know what you end up going with!
