OBX = Elvis banana, peanut butter, bacon whiskey. Your right....Lord Calvert, and high end is "rolling dice". Did a couple of OBX trips a couple of years back when we lived in NC. But you can pay $100 for a $25 bottle of wine at a store run by Russians.

Never tried it. I should be more loyal to CO distillers....but ya know...young, hot, kinda like my 1st wife...and then burns.

The best bottles I remember seeing was Bakers 7 and I think there was some Sazerac Rye. I’d imagine most of their demand is for mixer type stuff. I wasn’t too surprised by their (non) selection.

Is this normal pricing for the double eagle? I thought it was substantially lower. IMG_1394.png

$1000 high, can’t blame them for making a buck. If you have $2k to spend on a bottle you probably have $3k lol

I had to DuckDuckGo that Weller. Never heard of it, WTF, $7500 bottle of Whisky? This is getting ridiculous. Companies are getting out of control I don’t see this bourbon boom lasting forever. But I’ve been wrong before.

I think I should cash out and sell all my bottles and drink WT101 and be happy…. They’re kinda taking the fun out of it.

Same man. The spots and kings/whiting were automatic, soon as it hit the water. Tossed out a few out live and at least 2 got hit but didn’t stick anything. That’s how it goes tho.

Well that raffle was a zoo. First number called was one above me. Last number was one below me. Maybe next time.

Oh I forgot, one guy opened the giant Weller Millennium box only to find no bottle present. Good thing he did it in front of raffle.

$3K is 2024 retail. $2K retail is old news.

Good haul today! Pays to establish good comms with the store manager. He gives me a call when they come in, and passes on some discounts. We also head out to the shooting range every now and again.

I was torn on buying it. Some reviews say for about double MSRP of their regular bourbon, it didn't stand out enough to warrant the extra cost. Since I'm a HUGE 13th colony fan, I splurged a bit. Let's see how it goes...tonight. I mean...Tuesday is kinda Friday isn't it???
