Hey everyone I just programmed 2 new key fobs to my 05 Tacoma but the lock button still won't work. I followed the steps to the videos I watched on YouTube and programmed the fobs. The unlock and alarm buttons works with no issue it's just the lock button that doesn't do anything

For the lock button to work all doors must be closed and the key removed from the ignition.

Does your key in chime sound even when no key is inserted?

Does the door ajar light go out with all the doors closed?

Hi, I'm having a similar issue. I just replaced my ignition cylinder because it was worn and i would not be able to turn the key intermittently. Now my door chime sounds when the door is open (key removed from ignition) and I'm unable to lock my doors with the key fob.. did I do something wrong? how do I fix it?

It would seem something didn't get put together correctly or there's an issue with the unlock warning switch.
