Just ordered myself a new aftermarket front bumper, so now I find myself going down the rabbit hole of lighting.

In the promo pics they have what I'm assuming is Baja Designs Sport 3" combo and 2" wide cornering LED's on each side.

    So my questions are:
    - Is this a good combination of light patterns, or anyone have a better suggestion?
    - 2 of these lights could just connected to the stock fog light switch, and other 2 to a aftermarket button?
    - And worth buying the expensive brands of LED, or is it all the same stuff just branded and priced up?

I'm also going to have a 32" lightbar in the bumper.

    Pic for reference:

Thanks in advance for any input!

    Hey @Swanyman,

Congrats on getting a new front bumper for the rig! With now thinking about the many options of AUX light to start outfitting the front of the truck. It may be hard to decide on what to go with. Here at Baja Designs we offer a variety of options to get you though the many trails and conditions you wish to explore upon. As our product is back by our lifetime warranty, these set of lights will be able to live on to any future rig you plan on getting.

Depending on what type of driving you will be doing as well as the conditions you are in, this is a great set up configuration with in mind of getting a light bar. For our Squadrons I would recommend starting out with a Driving/Combo lens (inner lights) with a Wide/Corning S2 (outer lights), this will be a great starting point for your lighting package. As all of our lights are able to interchange lens, you can fine tune the beam patterns and direct them into the zones you may need them.

What are your future plans for the rig?

    Best,
    Bill

lights are very much a "get what you pay for" kind of deal. but there gets to be a point, like all modifications, of diminishing returns.

this thread, on the new harbor freight offroad light is a perfect example, along with the other lights compared within that thread.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-hf-road-shock-edge-lights.827813/

if you follow through some of the comparisons, each step in price point tends to offer slightly more and smoother light output.

but some of the question becomes how much light is useable for your situation? you could easily spend your trucks value in lighting, but is it really justified and useable?
