The Silverado must have been broken. My last truck was a 2019 Silverado with the 5.3 and 6 speed. That truck drove almost perfect.

It will drive you NUTS if you focus on it. Believe me - I bought mine pre owned, 30,000 on it. Test drove it in a city like terrain.. brought it home into the mountains and panicked. But now, 2,000 miles later I’ve gotten used to it and honestly I appreciate how it drives. Once you learn the ups and downs of it and where the power is and how the pedal reacts I’m sure it will grow on you. I get excellent gas mileage. It’s not as smooth as my 2nd gen but it’s fine and I’ve learned to like it.

My 23 shifts fine and I have no issues with it at all. I was concerned when I bought the automatic trans because of all the member complaints, but mine seems to work fine. My only issue with the truck is low end grunt or power at low RPM, but as it's getting broken in it's getting better, or maybe I'm just getting use to it?

Same as it was eight years, 2million trucks, and 6million posts later…the Aisin/Toyota six speed itself is functionally smooth and durable.

However, I have to believe at this point the guy who originally programmed the shift software has to read these threads in 2024 and laugh uncontrollably.

I lol'ed. This is the perfect response to OP's non-descriptive post.

It's damn tempting to delete all responses except "Truck drive fine" and lock the thread
