Favorite Whiskey?

Yuk. It’s just bourbon.

 

It was good, was on sale for $90 when I got it. I like the double wheat slightly better.

 

This makes a great old fashioned. They have a single barrel too but I need to track down a bottle.

 

The double wheated is a blend of a bourbon and whiskey.

I like their wheated bourbon aged 6 years and the stronger 8 year wheated bourbon. Haven't seen this 10 year wheat. I'm going to have to pick up a bottle this weekend I believe.

I know a ton of people love KC12 but for me it’s just ok.

Anyone like these? Not my cup of tea

 

I gave my small bottle to my son. He likes it. Not a flavor profile that I enjoy.

 

Nose: raisin, a slight fruit note I can’t identify, maybe a little licorice?

Palate: light cinnamon, oak, traditional vanilla and caramel.

Finish: short burst of the above that fades quickly to a peppery finish. Edit: nice thick oiliness.

Pretty good, don’t know if it’s worth the relatively expensive price though.

 

Anyone seen these yet? Look interesting, but a bit high if that pricing is yet.
