Just about finished with the rebuild of my parents house. This window seal was destroyed by termites and the crew that reframed the house didn’t have any stool boards to replace it. Instead of getting one they just hung the window using some shims. I watched a short how to video in IG and gave it a go. I’m not a particularly good carpenter, but I think it turned out okay. Still need to caulk it, but I’ll get to it later. I don’t want to crack open a new tube for 38” of caulk.

 

If you’re dollar cost averaging you gotta have the discipline to ride out the downswings. Too many folks get nervous and sell on the decline instead of riding it out for the upswing. Slow and steady is the key.

 

Watching our portfolio, it is hard to keep up with inflation.

Few of our efforts have trippled or quadrupled after the taxes are paid.

It all looks good until you want to buy something.

The amount of man hours tied up in one curio cabinet! That's pretty amazing really.

I'm working some OT today, trying to get caught up a bit. We're way behind. Brass has shut overtime off almost completely the last 6 months unless it's to support a fueling operation. For years this shop went basically unlimited on overtime, you could work 60 every week. Not anymore, and we're dangerously behind. Gotta do the dance I guess...
