@amyracecar we picked 14 lbs. of blueberries this morning.

 

So you got a freezer full of berries now?

I think a few cups were frozen from the last bunch, the rest were eaten. Most of these will get eaten. Maybe some jam. A pie.

The first year I discovered this place, I think I ate 5 lbs. a week in July and August.

Funny part is, I hated blueberries. Only thing I'd ever had was store bought and they were terrible. So when I tried this place, it was like 'this is what blueberries actually taste like, wow.'

 

I can't eat too many in one sitting - may make a blueberry pound cake with some frozen ones.


I was the same way with peaches - used to get fresh ones as a kid; hated the store bought ones so i refused to buy them - then years back i found an orchard near my house and the fresh ones are amazing! Taste totally different.

 

I just saw a grey fox in my cul/da/sac!!

Good morning whateverers

I’m in a great mood this mornin’
Yesterday I typed “Amen” to a facebook post so in a few days I’ll be getting a ton of money. I’m really excited about that!!!

 

Yeah, we had all that algebra and triggernometry crap nobody ever uses forced on us. Which is why I quit school and got a GED which stands for “Good Enough Diploma” I think

So, quit. It takes 5 minutes, a piece of cardboard and a sharpie to make a “Will Work For Food” sign. Take a lawn chair down to the Walmart and voila

 

My buddy did a study for his thesis in college about homeless. He acted like one for 4 weekends. Made $4500 from people giving him cash. No he didn’t keep it. He gave it to the homeless shelter

 

4 weekends = roughly 1.5 work weeks


I think I'm in the wrong job field.

I can believe it. The best approach I ever saw was a woman in Corpus Christi, Texas. She had several small children in a playpen with a sign…”Will Trade Toys For Food”
I bet she made a hundred bucks in the time I was stopped at a red light.
