    Hi all
Just swapped out these plugs with Denso K16TR11’s on my ‘01 3400. Pretty clear they needed changing. Seems to idle smoother so hopefully ‘better’ mpg too. Curious, is this normal wear for the plugs? I did try searching the forum btw. A lot of plug posts!
I’ve had the car for maybe 3k miles. And…should I change the wires?
Trying to change out things in order of importance. Thanks!

Guessing it is going to be hard for folks to tell you if it’s a normal amount of wear without knowing how long they were in there. Nothing looks off to me (untrained eye), but good to have fresh ones in there.

If your engine is running smooth, no need to change the wires.
The plug change interval is every 30k miles. How many miles did you put on the ones in the picture?

Any aftermarket wires are going to be junk compared to used OEM Sumitomo’s.

    I only run Toyota Wires.

I ordered some wires on ebay that were listed as OEM. They clearly weren't when they arrived and were falling apart in my hands. I ended up using my old wires instead.
Watch out for ebay "OEM" parts!

Plugs look normal. Changing the wires is up to you. I've seen them fail for no apparent reason. Use OEM or NGK.

Those wires have been replaced at least once it appears

    They are stamped with 2o14
