Correct, no second sensor was added per a guy on the Tundra forum. He has a guy or two on the inside that told him thats what would happen for 2024's, but apparently it didnt. My 2024 Platinum hasnt done it yet and I park it nose up every singe day. However, I have less than 1,000 miles on it..

edit: Andddddd I jinxed myself. Just had it happen. My luck.

I’ve had my taco for 24 hours. Driven about a 120 miles and the gauge still reads full. Amazing how fuel efficient this new taco is. Lol

Mine did that at first and I was like WTF? Currently at 1600 miles and it seems to be better. About 65 miles in, it will start dropping. I do note once it starts getting around 5/8 to 1/2 a tank the indicator starts dropping fast. Weird.

In the TFL wrap-up video of their infamous Tacoma, which they have sold, they noted that the fuel gauge didn’t budge for ages as the miles went by, then dropped quickly to empty. Sounds like normal behavior in your truck based on how Toyota designed the fuel gauge and sending unit system, let alone the software.

Yea probably a design issue. I fill up around 1/2 a tank (according to the gauge) and it's always 10+ gallons. Definitely not a linear setup.

top half of tanks are slow, bottom half are fast. that is the usual design of toyota gas tanks. this is the same behavior i have noticed on our 2014 4R, 2016 Tacoma, 2018 Tundra, 2023 Tundra.
