I'm not tempted at all. Simply just love my 3G TRD Off Road.

My 1st gen was an extended cab. I thought it was a great configuration because I didn't know any better.
Pulling the seats forward to get to stuff in back is not moving Tacoma in the right direction for me.
So no, I have my last Tacoma.

Or you can opt for an SR5 and pay under $40K. Not saying they haven't gone up in price (as they should), but you're failing at making equal comparisons.

My '22 wasn't worth $50K considering the aging platform and motor, but I didn't buy one because it was the latest and greatest. I did because it was supposed to be the last of its kind.

I’d buy the new Land Cruiser, Chevy colorado, jeep gladiator, ford ranger raptor, even the Nissan before the gen 4 Tacoma.

We live in California, so we don’t exist in the real world.

People in the real world will not do things that California is doing.

    Indeed.
Many years ago, I was a tech at a Toyota dealership back East.
They had a Toyota Crown that had been waiting OVER A YEAR for a replacement engine, with no ETA in sight.

Same as the computer business, Mom says, "Just say No to One Dot Oh products".
The Gen3 had lots of problems from the onset, as I fully expect the all new 2024 to have.

No mention was made of new transmission models, which I assume is the case in the 2024 vs the older AC60F I have in my 2023.

I plan to keep my 2019 Tacoma for 10 years, so 2029 before I look at another truck. Hopefully by then, gen 4 Tacoma pricing is getting better. If something happens to my gen 3 Tacoma and I have to buy another truck now, I cannot afford or justify buying a gen 4 Tacoma so I have to look at Nissan Frontier or Ford Ranger/Maverick.

Unfortunately, nope. I had some hope for 4th Gen lust, but I'm left flat. Looking forward to a major mid-cycle refresh or the 5th Gen.

You're making a statement that the cost of entry for a 4th gen is $50K which isn't accurate.
