I do have to turn off Parking Assist when I back into my garage. My driveway slopes down to my garage so my sensors think my garage floor is something to avoid.

Judging by what appears to be a trailer hitch sized drywall patch, right where you're backing up, I'd say maybe you need it to chirp at you?

Nah, that's a mini pepper-popper. A steel target I shoot at. My trailer ball couldn't hurt it.

That looks like a well-designed, properly functioning parking system. If you're into that sort of thing...

I'll take it any day, almost backed into a parking lot light pole, luckily the truck hit the brakes when it was about 10 inches away.

You’re definitely right. The front one does the same.

    Far to much money spent.
Shut off the rear parking assist.
Mine works far to well when all I’m doing is getting up close with stuff.

Our grand Highlander is a pain backing up into the garage. Sometimes even with my foot on the brake and moving inches, it’ll emergency brake on us. Such a pain

Even with a 9' wide garage door mine will really put up a fuss. I do like the front sensors though as my garage is a little short and I gotta park close to the tool boxes.

Have you tried just leaving it on tow/haul mode?
