I've never had a reaction to poison ivy.
I've ripped it off of trees so I could climb them with my treestand...nothing.

 

Took the project Subaru for an alignment, the original front tires were down to the steel on the inside 1/3 and it had a hard pull to the right.

I spoke to the young fellow doing the work beforehand, told him I like a nice straight steering wheel and gave him a nice crisp Jackson to help him remember. It took him about an hour and 2 test drives.

I went for a 125 mile road trip for a shakedown, the car handles like it is on rails.

When I got back to town his boss was still in the shop, I told him what a great job the fellow had done and asked him to thank him again for me.

The "poison plants" are not really poison. The "chemicals" that transfer to anyone who contacts them triggers an auto immune reaction. The "oils/chemicals of the plants are completely harmless/

But due to the variations of human kind, Some immune systems react, some don't. And NO ONE gets a poison ivy/ poison oak/ poison sumac reaction the FIRST time they come in contact with the plant. The body needs to build the the little devils that do the dirty!

I'm one who has had poison ivy BAD!, like Ooozing festering infecting BAD. To bad for me.

Some folks don't get a reaction. Dogs don't!

Y'all tighten up now it's Hump day. We've got an all hands meeting today with the big big boss and everybody on this contract. Not sure if big news or a big rah rah party work just a little harder for us. They are gonna have subway catered for us, I said y'all better have some vegan options now.

 

I like Subway. Sometimes all I want is a loaf of bread for lunch.

But dogs can get the oils on their fur and then when you pet them..... As a teenager I once helped my dad burn some leaves along the property line. Poison ivy leaves were mixed in with regular leaves. Inhaling the smoke, handling the leaves, etc., gave me a reaction that was very, very bad. I was out of school for 3 days and every part of my body was swollen, inflamed and incredibly itchy. No words can do justice to the level of reaction that I had.
