Just want to start out saying I have very limited knowledge about suspension and I would be stoked for any advice since Im still trying to learn. About to buy new Fox 2.0 Rear Shocks for my 2021 Tacoma that are rated for 2 in lift. Before I buy and try to get it installed I want to make sure I will be fine to use 2 in rated rear shocks with my leaf springs that were included in the kit for a 2.5 in lift. Checked on some other old forums but keep seeing comments about rating and not sure what to make of it.

Lift recs given for rear shocks are based on leaf spring lift, i.e. additional arc in the springs.
If you bought a kit with leaf springs, install them first.
