Just replaced all u joints and the carrier bearing on my rear driveshaft. U joints were easy enough with the ball joint press from Autozone. Getting the danged driveshaft yoke off in order to remove the carrier bearing was a B!tc# though. After spraying it with pb blaster several times and whacking it with a hammer till my hands were sore, I temporarily gave up and took it to a few auto shops. Three people in a row wouldn't even touch it and recommended I give up and just throw a new driveshaft assembly in there.

I decided to try one last time and fire/ice did the trick. I heated it with a mapp torch until the rubber bushing caught on fire then dunked it in ice water. I did this a couple of times and then took several forceful swings with the hammer while pulling tension on the yoke.

Hopefully this will help someone if they run into the same issue.
